On Tuesday, January 23, 2018, Mrs. Nicks’ class at, Coopertown Elementary School, did a social experiment to help students learn the importance of diversity. Classmates examined the outer shell of a brown egg and a white egg. Then they broke the eggs open and discovered that even though the colors are different on the outside, the eggs are the same on the inside. Afterwards, they examined the different colors of their skin and discussed similarities and differences. Students are so thankful for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the courage he had to stand up for equality!
